Eid Celebrations
Happy and Blessed Eid
Masjid AlSalam, hosts detailed Eid Celebrations that include prayers, festivals, and bazaars.
Practical Information for Eid Prayers
Based on detailed planning for Eid-ul-Fitr, here’s what you can typically expect when attending prayers:
- Prayer Logistics: Multiple prayers are scheduled (often 3-4) to accommodate everyone. Takbeerat typically begins 30 minutes before each Salah. All prayers are livestreamed on the masjid’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
- Designated Spaces: Men usually pray in the Multi-Purpose Hall (gym), while women pray in the halls of the main building. The main men’s hall is sometimes reserved for families with special needs children for later prayers.
- Parking & Traffic: Heavy congestion is expected. The masjid strongly encourages carpooling, attending the later prayers to ease traffic, and leaving promptly after the Khutbah. A new grassy parking area south of the masjid is available, and volunteers will direct traffic.
- Fitrah (Zakat al-Fitr): For Eid-ul-Fitr, it must be paid before the Eid prayer.
